Morning Verse

The sun with loving light,

makes bright for me each day.

The soul with spirit power,

gives strength unto my limbs.

In sunlight shining clear, I revere,

Oh God.

The strength of humankind,

which thou so graciously

has planted in my soul,

So that I with all my might,

may love to work and learn.

From thee streams light and strength,

To thee rise love and thanks.

Bookwork

1. For our book work today we will write out these words from Little Red Riding Hood using capital letters.

SHE * STOPPED * TO * SMELL * THE * FLOWERS

Practice the letters S and P in the space below.

2. Next we will draw the picture from our last story - "The Three Languages" from Grimms Fairytales.

Please see the pictures below to help illustrate.

3. Last of all, please listen to our Main Lesson story for today.

We drew this picture on Thursday 27/5. Here it is if you missed it!

Our new picture

for today.

In the story, the boy listened to the voices of the frogs in a pond.

Do you remember what other animals he understood?

Our writing for today - from "Little Briar Rose".

Please click on this pdf and it should open in a new window.
Follow the pictures to model your own figure of the Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood!  Use any colour wax you like.

Remember when we model, we always start by warming up the wax and make a ball. From there we carefully pull and pinch out from the centre.

1. Start by warming the wax in your hands and make a little ball.

2.Turn the ball into a bean/banana shape and then follow each step in the images.

You can see two wolves that I have made, and each one will end up being  a little bit different!
I hope you have fun modelling your wolf.

If you would like to email me a photo of your wolf, along with some workbook samples I'd love to see your work from this week!
